Dr. JS Sharma

Director & Co F-ounder

Dr. Sharma has more than 38 years of experience in the field of pollution prevention & control in petroleum sector as GGM-Head Environment-ONGC, till June 2018, including Oil Industry Safety Directorate, MOPNG , Ph.D. in Chemistry from Agra University and Post-Doctoral Studies from Japan on Global Environmental Issues (1992-93) as STA Fellow, Japan Research Development Corporation(JRDC), METI, Japan . Had one patent to his credit, presented a number of papers in International fora in abroad including invited talks. Accompanied government of India delegations, AIST, Govt. of Japan, Invited for finalization of their research program in 2014 and attended Cool Earth Forum on invitation at Tokyo on each year from 2014 to 19). Acted as an Evaluator for NEDO’s Research Proposals, Japan research proposals. Attended Leadership Program (2015) IMI Delhi and Amsterdam & IFP, Paris, France, San Francisco, USA. 

Mr. Priyank Singhvi

Co-Founder

Priyank is the founder and director of Exponential Equations, a boutique advisory firm focusing on providing strategy and corporate finance (fund raising, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring) solutions to select promising businesses and entrepreneurs on their strategic initiatives. Priyank brings in deep, wide-ranging, and hands-on experience in private equity and investment banking. Exponential Equations is also notable as a successful experiment of delivering high quality services to the clients across sectors and situations, through an ecosystem based agile and flexible delivery model. Priyank is also actively involved in managing his investments including angel investing. Prior to founding Exponential Equations, Priyank has worked with leading global institutions like JM Morgan Stanley, DSP Merrill Lynch and Asia private equity at AIG. Priyank has done PGDBM from IIM-Ahmedabad and BE in electronics and communications from MNIT-Jaipur. He is also a CFA® charter holder. Priyank is passionate about yoga and meditation and activities that can bring in a positive social impact.

Dr. Tuhin Banerjee

HEAD OF PROJECTS

Dr. Tuhin Banerji completed his PhD in Environmental Engineering from IIT Bombay. He specialises in Water and Wastewater treatment systems and Sustainability and has been working in this sector for more than 15 years. He worked as a Sr Scientist (QHF) and then as Consultant in CSIR-NEERI for more than 7 years and carried out various projects in decentralised wastewater treatment systems, urban renewal, environmental audits and river restoration. He served as a member of the Consent Apprisal Committee at MPCB for 5 years and as a member of No Increase in Pollution Load Committee at MPCB for 3 years. Prior to joining ICCSA Foundation, he was holding the position of the Head of Water R&D division at Thermax Pune. There he was working on the water-energy nexus, green hydrogen and developing new low-resource drinking water purification techniques. He holds 3 patents and 15 publications in international journals. He also serves as a Technical Committee member on BIS-GoI pannel for finalisation of new standards.

Ms. Shweta Gupta

SENIOR EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Shweta Gupta is a senior executive officer at ICCSAF, who is a dedicated environmental professional with over a decade of experience in environmental engineering, impact assessment, and sustainability. Her expertise spans environmental impact assessment, climate action, and sustainable development, with a proven track record leading projects like the 3-Tier Post EC Monitoring Mechanism and ESIA studies for renewable energy projects. Currently, Shweta focuses on the “Climate Goals: Technological Roadmap to Net Zero” project at ICCSA while pursuing a sponsored PhD in solid waste management at IIT Hyderabad

Dr . Deepika Soni

Honorary Fellow- ICCSAF

Dr. Deepika Soni is an Honorary Fellow at ICCSAF, specializing in environmental biochemistry research. With over a decade of experience, she has a strong background in cell and molecular biology, microbiology, and toxicology. Her research has led to 12 publications in renowned journals and presentations at national and international conferences. Dr. Soni has successfully contributed to the “Climate Goals: Technological Roadmap to Net Zero” project and authored a detailed report on urban flooding and risk management. Her expertise lies in environmental biochemistry, toxicological assays, cell and molecular biology, cell culture, microscopic analysis, and the impact of climate change on human health and ecosystems.

Hrishikesh Dhurat

INTERN

Hrishikesh Dhurat is an Intern at ICCSA, with a Master of Science degree from Pondicherry University in Marine Biology and a Bachelor of Science degree from D. G. Ruparel College (Mumbai University). He has experience working on projects related to deep-sea pteropods, water quality analysis, and biodiversity assessment. Hrishikesh is also passionate about environmental conservation and has volunteered with organizations like the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and Greenline. In his free time, he enjoys swimming, birdwatching, and fishing.

Pallavi Chaubey

INTERN

Pallavi Chaubey is an Intern at ICCSA, with a Master of Science degree from The Institute of Science, Mumbai in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Science degree from D. G. Ruparel College (Mumbai University). She possesses robust research experience in environmental science, focusing on air pollution, nanotechnology, and microbiology. Her passion for environmental conservation is evident through her extensive volunteer work with organizations such as Greenline, CRY India, and WWF, where she has actively engaged in environmental education and awareness initiatives.

Suraj Yadav

INTERN

Suraj Yadav is a dedicated M.Tech Environmental Engineering student at NIT Warangal with a strong academic record. His practical experience at Vaishali Construction Co. and research projects on soil stabilization and wastewater treatment demonstrate his commitment to the field. Proficient in various software applications and possessing strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Suraj is a promising engineer with a keen interest in sustainable development.

Samyak Indurkar

INTERN

Samyak Indurkar is a curious and responsible second-year student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Engineering and Technology at the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) Mumbai. He demonstrates leadership qualities through his role as the PR Head of the Entrepreneurship Cell at ICT, where he manages social media and public relations activities. Samyak is passionate about innovation and sustainability, evident in his fascination with polymer synthesis and his interest in exploring biopolymers. Beyond academics, Samyak actively volunteers with U&I, a charitable organization that empowers underprivileged children and individuals across India.
